The Student Advisory Council (S.A.C.) is a panel of student advisors of the University of Louisiana System to the Board of Supervisors. Consisting of the Student Government presidents from the System’s eight universities, the Council provides an important link between the needs of the students on the campuses and the goals of the System. The Council members receive input, such as suggestions for improvements, from the students at each of the individual universities and share these inputs among the group. The student member on the Board acts as the Council’s spokesperson to the Board of Supervisors. The S.A.C. meets 8 to 9 times a year after the monthly system board meeting to discuss important issues of the universities, and as a group, help propose solutions to better serve the almost 80,000 students in the System.
